Electrical Connection
Electrical hookup for the NOGSYS System is simple, but must be done according to local codes. It is always a good idea to have a qualified electrician do any electrical work.
Locate the timer that controls the pool or spa equipment and mount the controller to the wall according to the instructions. (Make sure that the electrode wires will reach the electrode terminals on the chamber.)
Verify the voltage at the pool pump's electrical connection inside the timer. (110V or 220V)
Open the NOG Controller by removing the four plastic screws on the faceplate and detach the front panel.
Locate the switch on the computer circuit board marked 110V-220V and move the switch to the matching power supply of the pump. Replace the controller faceplate
Turn off the power to the timer/equipment. Double check that the power is off.
Following your local electrical codes make the connection of the controller to the timer at the same terminals as the pool pump so that the system goes off and on with the pump. Plastic, watertight conduit and connectors is normally used with pool equipment.
Turn the power back on and verify that the NOG Controller goes on and off with the equipment. If the LED light does not come on when the pump is operating make sure that the dial inside the clear plastic box on the controller is turned on. Turn the dial until you see a +10 or -10 on the LED. The system will automatically switch polarity approximately every 3 1/2 minutes.
Connect the two, DC leads from the gray wire from the control box to the electrode terminals.
